Charm of Africa in the Land of Salvador de Bahia


Salvador is the capital of Bahia province, around 1,650 km to the north of Rio de Janeiro. The city is situated on a peninsula surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean in the east and the calm waters of Bahia de Todos os Santos in the west. Salvador is famous for tropical beaches along its 34 km of beautiful, framed by native flora in vibrant colors.

The city has a unique character, divided into two parts: the Upper Town and Lower Town. Top section is the heart of Salvador Bahia, where the cathedral and the central administration operates. Salvador de Bahia is also the first city in Brazil that still retains its colonial architectural style.
